Overview: Camphor Essential Oil is used as an ingredient in vapour rubs, balms and fragrances. Camphor Oil is produced by steam distillation of leaves and bark of Cinnamomum Camphora. The camphor tree and its oil are historically recognised for its use as a fumigant during the days of plague. Even though there are four varieties of camphor oils available, only the white camphor oil is used in aromatherapy. The tree is native to Japan and Taiwan but is vastly cultivated in China. We supply the Chinese origin Camphor Essential Oil, tested and packed in Grasse, France.

Common Use: Camphor essential oil has an established usage on skin to reduce the intensity of pain and inflammation. Camphor essential oil is used to stimulate and boost blood circulation and also to reduce nervousness, no citations available. Although the oil has some toxic effects, a couple of drops can be used in a diffuser that may help with nasal congestion. A couple of drops in the bathtub is ideal for an aromatic soak. Combining it with basil oil and sandalwood oil makes it a good bath blend. Camphor is also used as an insect repellent. Please do your own research and consult a specialist before usage as camphor is a powerful oil.
