Overview: Clove bud oil is produced from the dried flower buds of a tree SYZYGIUM AROMATICUM native to Indonesia. Even though the tree is now widely cultivated in countries like India, Madagascar, Tanzania, Brazil, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, Indonesia is still the largest producer. The clove oil is produced from the leaves, stems and the buds however the oil produced from the buds is known as the best. Clove bud oil contains more than 72 to 90 % eugenol which has got established uses for toothaches.
Note: Lot of adulteration is known in the production of clove bud oil so always be careful when you purchase this product. Always ask for a GC/MS test report and COA of the batch you are purchasing. The Indonesian and Sri Lankan clove bud oils are the reference standards in our industry. Currently we supply the Sri Lankan origin Clove Bud Oil but we can supply Indonesian, Madagascar and India origins on demand.

Common use: Clove bud essential oil is used in middle notes of oriental fragrances and used to elevate floral accords. Clove bud oil is used in skincare products and is an important ingredient in mouthwashes. In traditional medicine clove bud oil is used as an anodyne for dental disorders. Clove bud oil is widely used in aromatherapy. Studies to determine its effects to prevent premature ejaculation are inconclusive but people use it assuming it may help. When used in diffusers, clove bud oil may provide a refreshing atmosphere. Clove bud oil is also used as a linen spray. Use of clove oil for medicinal purposes is not approved by any authorities though it is used in traditional medicines. If taken orally, it may cause adverse effects.
