100% PURE THERAPEUTIC GRADE ESSENTIAL OIL
GC/MS batch-tested to ensure quality, safety and effectiveness
Overview: Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil produced from CINNAMOMUM ZEYLANICUM also known as Ceylon Cinnamon has very high significance in the fragrance industry. Interestingly the trade of Cinnamon was kept as a secret for several centuries to retain its trade value. Historically cinnamon was used as a gift to the kings and hence was not affordable for the common public. Cinnamon bark essential oil is produced by steam distillation of the macerated inner bark of the tree. The yield is very low and hence a costly oil.
Cinnamon bark 30% and cinnamon bark 60% refer to the concentration or content of the major constituent, cinnamaldehyde, in the respective essential oils. Cinnamon Bark 30%: This indicates that the essential oil extracted from cinnamon bark contains approximately 30% cinnamaldehyde. Cinnamaldehyde is the main aromatic compound responsible for the characteristic scent and flavour of cinnamon. Cinnamon bark essential oil 30% will have a milder concentration of cinnamaldehyde and may have a softer, less intense aroma compared to higher concentrations.
The difference in cinnamaldehyde concentration can influence the overall scent, flavour, and therapeutic properties of the cinnamon bark essential oil. Higher cinnamaldehyde concentrations may have stronger antimicrobial, warming, and stimulating effects. However, the choice between 30% and 60% concentrations ultimately depends on personal preference, specific applications, and the desired intensity of the cinnamon aroma or therapeutic benefits.
Note: It is understood that there are several cheaper varieties of oils being sold as cinnamon bark essential oil. Often the cassia bark oil is mixed with cinnamon oil or even the oil extracted from fallen leaves and twigs of a cinnamon tree are sold as cinnamon bark oil. Hence rely on a trustworthy source and ask for a GCMS test report and COA when you purchase this product.
