Overview: Lavandin Grosso is a hybrid variety of Lavandula angustifolia Miller X lavandula latifolia Medik developed by Pierre Grosso in the 1970s. There are two other prominent hybrid varieties such as Abrialis and Super, but Grosso is the dominant type. Lavandin Grosso can be cultivated in lover altitudes in a larger commercial scale and easy to grow. The yield compared to its counterpart lavender is 30 times higher and hence the prices are much lower than true lavender varieties. Lavandin is more herbaceous and camphor-like than lavender. We also supply Lavandin Abrialis and Lavandin Super all of which are of French origin.
